Mother Earth, an American anarchist journal, was self styled as "A Monthly Magazine Devoted to Social Science and Literature". Mother Earth was initiated in 1906. Its first editor was Emma Goldman, an activist in the United States. Contemporary activists and writers in Europe as well as the US contributed to its pages. In addition, it contained essays by historic figures. This is Volume 1 of the series. - Summary by Christine Rottger
